About the Book

This IBM Redbooks publication describes the requirements for implementing e-commerce payment solutions in today’s dynamic Web environment. It provides guidance for architects and developers who will use WebSphere Payment Manager as part of a full e-commerce payment solution.

It details the role that WebSphere Payment Manager plays in an e-commerce solution and describes how to install and configure Payment Manager to meet different requirements.

The book shows how to integrate WebSphere Payment Manager with SET and VisaNet using the cassette features provided. Further details are provided about the range of available cassettes that allow WebSphere Payment Manager to interact with many different payment protocols.

We show the way in which WebSphere Payment Manager is used in WebSphere Commerce Suite to provide an integrated payment solution.

Examples show how the WebSphere Payment Manager APIs can be used to customize the product, and how to develop cassettes so that WebSphere Payment Manager can be used with different payment protocols.
