About the Book

This book will provide an in depth explanation of the different types of tithes using the frequency of their payments to draw the distinctions amongst them. Many authors explain so many different tithes in the bible even when the bible itself is not explicit in those definitions. This is problematic as it tends to muddy the waters. It brings more confusion into this subject. I will however keep it as it is written in the bible and will draw a distinction between only three tithes being: the tithe of every year, the tithe of the third year and will conclude with the voluntary tithe. There will be no Hebrew nor Greek interpretations necessary because it is my view that the Bible we carry every Sunday to Church is sufficient in meaning, it does not need any additions. If people take issues with NIV as well as KJV, they must take these up with the Bible translations board. We use these Bibles every day of our lives and we regard them as true in all aspects of life. I will also touch on a number of other topics that will help make interpretation of the bible as well as this book easier. I will treat some topics to broaden our perspective.
About the Author: My name is Matshwenyego Jaabosigo. After many years of research and Bible study on the subject of Tithing, I decided to write a book to dispel all the myths around the practice and validity of Tithing. This also after having experienced the unintended damage it has caused the body of Christ among them being the use of Malachi 3:10 by many preachers to condemn God's children as well as the myth of positioning Tithe as the source of Blessing. After many years of studying the bible I have come to a conclusion that as Children of God, saved under the dispensation of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are under no obligation to pay tithe. Secondly, it is my view that while some church members may voluntarily choose to pay tithe as the spirit of God lead them, they are however not compelled to do so by the word of God to a specific individual or Church denomination. If they so choose, they are free to give it to anyone anywhere as the Spirit of God may point a need. One thing must be made clear though: the system of tithing in itself is not part of the new covenant agreement. It is important to point out that deception thrives where there is confusion borne from misinterpretation of the word of God. In the absence of any other knowledge it is human nature to settle for the only thing we know and in this case many Christians only know God as the God who accuses people of robbing Him when they do not Tithe as well as the God who blesses people when they tithe and as Christians we have stuck to this knowledge in the hope and believe that tithing puts us right with God and it is our source of blessing. We did not know the God who freely gives. We did not know the Romans 8:32 kind of God that says "He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not, together with Him freely give us all things?" I wrote this book in part also to reveal the Roman 8:32 God, the God who freely gives. The God who decides what you need before you become aware of your need.
