About the Book

"East-West Women," a selection of four film scripts is written for different times, different places, different styles, completely different love stories. "East-West Women"includes four various attractive screenplays. Encourage people in any predicament, should think positive, do not give up. Remember: Every cloud has a silver lining! Life is beautiful after all. 1. "Red Dragonfly" In the World War II a US air force pilot, after his aircraft crushed in a mountain village of Guangxi, China, was rescued by a country girl Dragonfly and her younger brother Niuwa. Under the crazy chasing of the invader Japanese planes, boats, troops and military dogs, it reveals the most valuable aspect of human nature. It is a story of life and death, love and hate. Years later, this American pilot came to China again looking for his Dragonfly girl... 2. " Black and Purple" By using circulating in the northwest China, popular folk song form to reflect the Great Leap Forward occurrence in 1958 - 59. Due to leaders' wrong policy, the Great Famine was generated in 1960. It also describes the extraordinary love story of young man Black and girl Purple. This screenplay shows the historical picture scroll of that special period, initiates people to ponder the reason of this tragedy. Black and Purple's destiny is just like the destiny of the Chinese people of that era. 3. "Into the Matriarchal Society" The last Matriarchal Society in China is located in Yunnan. No one is married over there. They maintain their love by the primitive romantic walking marriage and to extend the descendant. Hostess Cima, she shares happiness with her family and keeps the bitter tears to herself. Mosuo women are pure and sweet, even more beautiful than Lugu Lake. They are kind to others. They have a golden heart. This poignant beautiful love story is about how they adapt to the new life in the transformation of reform. 4. "East-West women" Actress Lin and painter Jiang are love birds. Under the influence of going abroad fever, they utilized every possible way to come to Los Angeles. American model Betty abandoned her cohabiting boyfriend photographer Peter and seduced Jiang. Under the lure of money and the lust of the flesh, they formed an exotic wedding. After a series of disputes and conflicts, each paid a terrible price. Jewish-American businessman, Steve, is an art collector; he finally got his wish to collect Lin in his Beverly Hills mansion. East West women one is pure like water, one is fire glamorous. They charm enough to set off a polygonal love story. Jiang and Lin used to share life and death together. Due to the immigration issues, they went on different life journey. Forever regrets left deep down in their hearts.
