For the first time, Thomas Lawson Binninger, author of the Thunderstruck series, has compiled the captivating short stories and novellas he has been writing for the past two decades.
On distant planets, in the depths of the oceans, and outside of time itself, several of Binninger's heroes explore what it means to truly be human.
But not every hero is human! Binninger also includes stories about intelligent submarines, alien civilizations, and a computer program that just might be the savior of our world.
Binninger's work covers a wide variety of genres. A wicked satire uses black humor to explore the hypocrisy of consumers. A melancholy coming-of-age tale repurposes horror tropes to tell the story of a fractured family relationship. And a survival thriller follows an arctic expedition gone horribly wrong.
Binninger has even included an epic poem, "The Chalice of Dreams," about a magical artifact that grants wishes but exacts a heavy price.
Throughout these stories, the characters of The Earthlings Anthology must confront aliens, artificial intelligence, and their own flaws. With each story, Binninger shows another facet of his style and poses another intriguing question about the nature of mankind and the future of our world.
