"La duda razonable / 105 CLAVES DE LIDERAZGO PERSONAL" pretende ser un rendido y debido homenaje a "12 Angry Men" (titulada en España como "12 Hombres sin Piedad"), la magistral película que en 1957 dirigiera Sidney Lumet y protagonizara un Henry Fonda sensacional. Ella ha sido la base de mi Taller "12 Hombres sin Piedad: Las Claves del Liderazgo", impartido desde el año 2002 en innumerables ediciones que, por sus muchas satisfacciones profesionales generadas, de alguna manera estaba obligado a pagar. Y para ello, que mejor que resucitar aquella historia y darle continuidad. "La duda razonable" es el relato fabulado de lo que aconteció hacia 1980 a los personajes de la película, 23 años después de su final. Aquello que la cámara no pudo filmar.

Pero además, "La duda razonable" incorpora algo muy especial y es el análisis secuencializado de "12 Angry Men", con las características que la explican como un prodigio de técnica cinematográfica y de lo que para mí es su valor principal: la excelsa caracterización de unos personajes en cuyo humano actuar se encuentran las 105 claves que mejor definen el liderazgo personal. Desde el comienzo hasta el final, todo lo que sucede en la película ofrece lecciones impagables de aquello que en el comportamiento está bien o mal, constituyendo un detallado prontuario de competencias (65) e incompetencias (40) en la gestión de la relación social. Sin duda alguna, no existe otro título en la filmografía universal de tan extensa e intensa ejemplaridad.

En el Apéndice se recogen, numerados y comentados, los 315 cortes en que he dividido la cinta y que se encuentran minutados a partir del primer fotograma de la primera escena que vemos al comenzar (la panorámica ascendente del edificio del Tribunal de Justicia). Algunos de ellos aparecen intercalados con su numeración en el Capítulo 3, titulado "El relato de Davis", que contiene la narración en "flashback" que n°8 (Davis, el personaje interpretado por Henry Fonda en la película) hace de los hechos ocurridos durante el juicio y cuya lectura se puede realizar con o sin atender a dicha numeración, manteniendo el sentido de aquella historia que como he mencionado antes, transcurrió años atrás. Es más, aquellos lectores que mantengan fresco el recuerdo de la película, incluso podrán prescindir de este capítulo cuya justificación es procedimental.

Los nombres y demás distintivos vitales de los trece personajes principales de este relato (doce jurados y el acusado) así como de sus familiares tienen directa relación con las de sus homónimos, los actores que participaron en "12 Angry Men", aunque debidamente adecuados para evitar una absurda e indecorosa duplicidad y también para dejar al lector un margen para ejercitar su curiosidad. Casi la totalidad de los acontecimientos y eventos citados (políticos, sociales, musicales, deportivos, cinematográficos y demás) son auténticos en todos sus datos y así por ejemplo, cada concierto o representación de ópera tuvieron lugar en la fecha y lugar que se indica y por los intérpretes que se vienen a mencionar. Todo, buscando una autenticidad allí donde la confusión se quiso instalar y la duda vino a reinar...
