About the Book

One day the face in the mirror looked back, and the worlds collided.

The wind blew; the seasons changed; and fate twisted.

Memories came; reality splintered... and he shattered.

It's been 200 years since Rexburg, Idaho, a sleepy little speedbump on the road to Yellowstone, earned its place in the cosmos. Chosen for its lack of, well... anything, the little college town unknowingly hosts the last key to the dragons' damnation. For millennia the Dai Kalina guarded the gates of the seven realms, protecting their inhabitants from the tuskers. Built by the dragons, this order quietly kept the realms separated, quelling any attempt to cross the gates, whether by curiosity or conquest. But they never anticipated the grieving madman, and his dragon's wings.

Countless worlds across the seven realms now lie in moldering ruin; testaments of two things: his ability to create truly destructive technology, and his way of drawing irredeemable monsters to his side. The amber eyed dark one, who followed his path, only to share his curse, and pass it on; the mrtyu, 9 heroes turned demon in exchange for the survival of their people; and worse.

Eventually, the madman was defeated. His wings were broken and scattered to wind; his beasts, imprisoned where none would find them. But the dragons' victory was short lived. The madman, before his defeat, poisoned the mind of Dunshii, a young Dai Kalina whelp, who went on to ignite a civil war that left the Order leaderless, and shattered.

In payment for his crimes, Dunshii was cast through the mirror, to the wastes of Avant Sagaar, where none may go... and fewer return.

After years of searching, Tianshi, the older of the madmans twin daughters, has caught wind that a piece of the Dragon's Wings has been found. Now she sets out to rescue her love from behind the mirror, by activating the Wings, and hunting down their guardians. But any piece of the Wings, when activated, will summon its counterparts. But with each piece residing on a different realm of reality... there's no telling what will happen, and Rexburg Idaho is about to break like a stack of paned glass. And Jarod Falkner, a young college student, and fantasy enthusiast, is about to learn what it truly means...

To shatter.
