About the Book

A 'Film Treatment' is available to legitimate film production companies. I have Lifetime rights to this story.

Drancy - Journey's End!' - over 58,000 words, is based on a true story that stretches from 1937 to 1993.

A true story of the courage and heroic acts of a Liverpool boy of just over 14 years of age to fulfil his childhood dream to see the world. Little did he know that dream would turn into a nightmare, a nightmare beyond anything his young imagination could conjure up when the 6,400-ton cargo ship he would be working on was attacked and sunk by a German raider, the Widder. That nightmare would stay with him for the rest of his life and be made worse by a British tribunal denial in 1993 at the Houses of Parliament late at night away from the prying eyes of the media.

The story covers his time from the day he left home to his time in the notorious concentration camp, Drancy, otherwise known as a death camp by its inmates. This is a story that has been deliberately hidden from the media and the public since 1942. Wartime and maritime records still do not make mention of his time and that of his few surviving colleagues being in the concentration camp Drancy on the outskirts of Paris. In the words of the tribunal, 'Drancy was just a transit camp' a term that the German government, the French government, the Weiner Holocaust Library and many other organizations around the world strongly dispute.

This account needs to be made public and government war records and the Liverpool maritime records updated to print the truth. The government tribunal went against all the evidence. Germany awarded compensation to the few British victims in their late teens who were sent to Drancy Concentration camp. However, the British tribunal refused to give them their share of the compensation that Germany had awarded them. In the tribunal's own words, "Israel and Germany's definition of a concentration camp differs from ours" and this despite all the evidence, eyewitness accounts, the Weiner Library (specialises in the holocaust) the Jewish Memorial in San Francisco, the German, Israeli and French government statements and much, much more. Why is there no mention of these few young British lads being incarcerated in a concentration camp or any of the other POW camps they were marched to? In order to ensure accuracy throughout I have consulted war records, maritime archives in Liverpool, personal letters held at the Liverpool Maritime Museum, holocaust museums in Israel, Germany, USA and Canada and moreover a ten year period in order to bring the truth out. In addition, I have also found alarming inaccuracies on some independent websites.

Under the 'Freedom of Information Act, ' there is verbatim a transcript toward the end of the book of the secret meeting that took place in 1993 between David Alton MP and the government tribunal at the Houses of Parliament late at night with no press in attendance. During that meeting, David Alton MP expertly exposes lies by two tribunal members and lies by government departments. That transcript is also available now from 'theyworkforyou.com'
