About the Book

Jerry exited the exam room along with a patrol officer who remain throughout the examination, the attending physician was close by. "What is your determination doctor on the injuries to the patient?" The two officers flanked Jerry, the examiner faced the three men. "He has suffered blunt force trauma, along with a deep contusion to the rib area. I prescribe some medication to the patient for his injuries. I would like to see him again in two weeks. Schedule an appointment at the counter."The two officers exchanged glances to Jerry and the doctor, one officer then walked away and keyed his radio, he spoke softly, then waited for the response from the dispatcher. Then walked back to the group. "Thank you, doctor, we will need to talk to the patient okay?" The officer who talked to dispatch said. The physicians went away headed for the exam room, closed the door after his entry."We need to make an appointment for you here, or do you want to go to your own doctor or follow-up?" He started to add what he said; hesitated, then waited for Jerry's answer. They all looked at each other for a while as if there was some confusion as to what would happen next."I think I will make an appointment with my family doctor, and have him look at the prescription. I think that is the best for me." Jerry stood waiting for a reply, or maybe they were instructed to allow him that freedom."We are going to take you to your house, do not leave town. Also, the crime unit has been there investigating the scene, you are to meet with detectives next Monday at 10:00 AM do not miss this interview, do you understand these instructions?" The large police officer with an even keel said. They all walked out the emergency exit, the door was opened for Jerry, he had not been handcuffed. No one spoke during the ride to Park Avenue, not even a look by the officers. When the cruiser parked in the front of the house, an officer handed Jerry the key. "Remember to meet with the detectives, or you will be picked up for refusing to cooperate." The officer who had driven him back to the residence said, his tone changed toward a friendlier manner. Jerry tried to open the door, but no such luck, then the other officer got out of the cruiser, and opened the door, then stood aside to allow him to exit.Jerry walked up the path to the front door, put the key in, then disappeared from view. He went into the kitchen, looked at the clock on the wall it was 8:42 AM. He would still have time to get a shower, and make his appointment scheduled for 10 AM. He turned on the burner, filled the kettle with enough water to make a cup of much-needed coffee. Then also make sure to turn off the burner. The equipment needed to complete the assignment was locked in the trunk of his vehicle. He went up the stairs to get his clothes, and a hot shower. Things still felt strange to him, many unanswered questions confused him from the usual way he prepared for an assignment. But he went through the usual motions as normal, trying to shake what had happened about three hours earlier. He showered and toweled off, then went back to the kitchen, prepared his cup of java, then returned to his bedroom. The house seemed tainted due to the events that transpired earlier, his room was in disarray from the search made by the crime unit. He picked out an outfit put it on, drink a little coffee, gathered his senses and went down to the living room which was also messy, drawers still half open, and personal items scattered around the living space, he felt violated as he looked around at the mess. Jerry took another sip of the brew, then put his cup in the kitchen. It was time to depart the strange mess that was all around his home. Opened the front door, then locked it, walked down the pathway, clicked his remote and entered the vehicle, pulled the trunk release, started the car, got out and walked to the rear. About the Author: GJJ was born near the 4th of July... 6 days later in 1943. By the time the fifties came along, GJJ was moved to a new home, St. Joseph's Orphanage. It was the address for 6 children. From 3 and 4 years of age and the other few were almost in double digits. His mother and dad had got remarried and raised their new family. In 1958 his world was turned upside down. He was the last child at the Orphanage. He was told the day before his 15th birthday. GJJ decided he would go and find his mom and dad. He ran away from the Orphanage, after 31 times of going AWOL and was spanked each time... Receiving 3 whacks each time. While going around the local priest on his hands and knees, if he reached back to rub his behind... There was an added whack! The institution had him placed in juvenile detention. From the juvenile detention home, he was transferred to another institution till he turned 21 years of age. He was a free man with no money or no place to live... That was the states way of getting you out of the system. Living on the street was very crude as no one offered to help. Then hunger took over later that night. GJJ attempted to enter a restaurant with a friend... It was after midnight... The restaurant was closed. They left the restaurant and were just walking up the street when they saw a police cruiser. The officer stopped and arrested GJJ. His friend filled out a statement that said GJJ forced him to break into the restaurant. The judge gave him one to five years because he had no permanent residence. All of this was because he was hungry and all that he took was the food that he ate. GJJ DAWG left school in his elementary years. Later in life he attained his GED. Much later in life he has earned two college degrees. This is his first book... About Domestic Violence, Spousal Abuse and how it has steadily increased over the last decade. He believes violence only creates increased violence. He believes when you are angry and try to settle a dispute, it will fail. Intelligent decisions only come when both are calm and able to make the correct outcome by talking... Not yelling and saying things that later you will regret. Physical, emotional, and psychological scars will never diminish, when words that are used in anger are spoken.
