About the Book

DON'T IGNORE MY CHILD'S CRIES, is a true story about a mother name Miss. Shalia. She tells this story about how the Child Welfare system stole her children with hopes of not only enlightening other parents of what might be happening or has happened to them; but also to bring to the attention of the people who can make changes in the system, the Elected Officials, Heads of the Child Welfare System, Constituents, Advocates, Judges, etc. This is a shocking, horrific story about a young woman's fight to maintain and re-gain custody of her children, knowing she had been lied on and set up. Miss. Shalia a courageous survivor of domestic violence and other abuse knew all along that the father of the youngest son, Marshell and oldest sons father Luther's intentions was to use the system to further abuse her by having her children taken. Can you imagine how she must have felt, how she feels today knowing she was innocent of the allegations brought against her by some very vicious people and her children were taken? Can you even begin to imagine the horrific state of mind the children must have been in knowing that they were not abused, but they were removed from the loving and nourishing arms of their mother, Miss. Shalia? This is not an isolated case and what happened to this family is happening today to families all across the nation, due to greed and callousness. In the book, DON'T IGNORE MY CHILDS CRIES, you will find details and copies of original documents. Documents supporting the innocents of the mother. Documents that was not allowed in court by the advice of a "should have been retired" Court Appointed Attorney. Part of the plot to keep Miss. Shalia from re-gaining custody of her children. To this day Miss. Shalia's children suffer from the Stockholm Syndrom. Due to the brainwashing, her children remain estranged from her. Parental alienation and custodial interference are tools more commonly used by the mother in custody cases to alienate the father. In this book (in this case) you will see where the father of the youngest son, the foster parents and some relatives have used the same tools to alienate Miss. Shalia from her children. This true story of Miss. Shalia and her children, DON'T IGNORE MY CHILD'S CRIES, also tells the how and why some children are subjected to, "the turbulent cycle of abuse." Not just "a must read", it is also "a necessary to understand" in order to make changes in the child welfare system, to truly stop the legalization of child exploitation. Conclusion by, Dr. Ernie Smith, Professor at Charles Drew University
