"There are countless verses in the Word of God that define, describe and determine what sins are. And there are almost as many descriptions and examples given of sin as there are verses that speak to it. So please consider with an open mind, as I posit my own definition of sin; a definition I believe can be backed up by all those scriptural references I alluded to.
Now, there will be those who read my definition of sin and because they cannot find the exact same words in the Bible anywhere, and they won't, they will dismiss me, maybe even judge me because I did not quote something 'Biblical'. However, I believe that if you ponder and pray, God's Spirit will confirm to your heart and mind that my definition is at the underlining meaning of all those Biblical references.
We'll here's to narrow-mindedness, and here's my definition of sin: Any thought, action, or belief of yours that you allow to come between you and God." - From the Forward of 'What Does God's Word Say? - Addiction'
Second Chance Ministries - We are a nonprofit, IRS 501(c)(3) inter-denominational publishing company, educating conservative, politically active Christians about the emotionally charged topics relevant for our times - such publications address issues from abortion to Israel to patriotism.
Here we are committed to building a community of courageous believers who will stand united with God and Jesus Christ - no matter what religious denomination you affiliate with. There are many issues facing us today as followers of Jesus Christ; many issues that are politically incorrect, unpopular, and that require us to set aside some of our doctrinal differences in order to bravely make the kind of difference in our world today that our Savior expects of us. We publish, educate and encourage members of our community to actively educate themselves and others about the relevant news, ideas, events and opportunities related to such causes as religious persecution/liberty, Church in politics/government, public school education, and much more.
Stand united with us in Christ!
