About the Book

This book will take you analyze and observe the experiences of exceptional biblical personalities, including our Lord and Savior as he took the form of man. This reading will help you get a better understanding about how God arranged his WILL and his SOVEREIGNTY with each one of them and how he will do also with every one of us. You will study about how God dealt with Adam and Eve, Abraham, Moses, Job, The captives Hebrews in Babylon, the Heroes of Faith registered in the letter to the Hebrews, Paul, and our Lord Jesus Christ. This book offers a simple and practical approach about the sovereignty of God. That's the reason I have titled it: "What to do when God is silent." This is a sensible approach rather than a theological one. My objective is to underline the concept of the sovereignty of God and that He cannot be approached by remote control, or be maneuvered at our whims nor can He be approached instantly as we are accustomed to approach other things in life. God does not do things as we expect him to do, much less, as we demand him to do. As we examine the fast corrosion of the human race, especially the weakening of the human family and the warped justice systems of the world trying to control human behavior we ask ourselves if God is really in control of the human agenda. More and more we have to put-up with mayhem, extreme poverty, terrorism, disrespect to human life, disrespect to private property, mayor frauds of financial institutions, jailhouses filled to capacity, more inmates on death-row, capital punishment, cancer, heart failures, diabetes, AIDS, and the list goes on. All this seems to indicate that instead of God being in control, the evil forces are in control of the human race. Well, this condition fulfills the words of the apostle Paul when he said: "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived," 2 Timothy 3:13. We live in a society thirsty of knowing the future. People are demanding solutions to all of their problems and they want answers to all of their questions. This is so especially in this modern generation involved in so much communication progress. The world wide communication systems such as the cable, international television, communication satellites, the Internet, even the written text, have become "our daily (poisonous) bread." The news correspondents waste no time in bringing in living colors everything that happens in the remote corners of the earth, even outside the earth. We are saturated with "talk shows" where the host or hostess exposes the most bizarre cases of human decay. The more disgusting are the cases they interview, the better the ratings. As if this wasn't enough, we have the astrologers, the mediums, the witches, the sorcerers, the spiritualists, the parapsychologists, the so-called faith healers, the remote viewers, and an endless list of sources for the "cures" of all ailments. More than ever we have stargazers and "ufologists," looking to the stars for answers and studying ancient almanacs, looking for answers and looking for end-times events. Now, if you are reading this book after May 21 of 2011, it means that you did not make to the RAPTURE or the rapture did not occur as was predicted by the deranged "Bible teacher" Dr. Harold Camping. As you know, history is filled with this so-called "day of judgment." That's because many of us expect God to tell us everything He has on His mind. We want straight and quick answers from Him, and are willing to try new ways of communicating with the Heavenly Father, including massive suicides or climbing up the mountains to be rapture into the Heavens. Since we are so unhappy about everything that's happening all over the world, want to flight into the heavenly places. We want to feel secure. We want answers.
