About the Book

The purpose of this book is to help those who have suffered the tragedy of divorce and remarried. If they are saved they find themselves put aside as something 'Branded' by other Christians! Are these limited in the work of God's Kingdom? Can they not serve as Deacon? Does God not call these to preach His Word? Who are we to point fingers at those who have already been hurt enough? They are not vessels of dishonor, they are sinners saved by grace just as all who come to Him and repent of their sins. Sometimes it's much easier to follow traditions that have been handed down to us rather than to follow the truth in God's Holy Word, the Bible. I hope this book on marriage and divorce will not be shunned, and that whosoever wants to know the truth of this matter will read it with an open mind. I believe that our Heavenly Father, through the leadership of the Holy Spirit, will guide you in the direction that He wants you to go. Forgetting tradition, and looking for remission! God's forgiveness is like an eraser it takes away all marks of sin! The husband of 'one wife', what does it really mean? This Scripture has been taken out of context so many times, and has been used to put men who would make great leaders in the church left sitting on the pew, thinking that they are undeserving and unworthy to serve on the deacon board. God help us to stop this nonsense! Who are we to tell God who to use and who not to use? We must 'all' be servants of God and warn people that He is coming soon. Be ready!
About the Author: Gladine Burke Cain is a born again Christian. She was saved in her late teen years. Prior to that, she had attended church most of her life. She became interested in piano at a very young age. Later on, she became involved in playing the piano in church. She has written several songs and dramas. She loves directing and teaching. Teaching the word of God is her most enjoyable task. Writing books about the lessons that she has taught in the past has become a part of her life. At a very young age, she became totally confused about law and grace. Preachers would preach that Jesus came to the earth to give His life for sinners. God is a forgiving God who sent Jesus to pay for the sins that we couldn't pay for. We were all unworthy and couldn't save ourselves. This was a wonderful message of hope for all. We couldn't help ourselves, so, he came to us and gave us the choice of accepting his forgiveness. We had to realize that He came to save us, and then ask Him to redeem us from the bondage of the law that held us all. His Blood was shed for us all. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13). The confusing part for her to understand was the fact that the preachers would preach this wonderful message of forgiveness and then out of the same mouth would come a hateful spirit of criticism toward people who had been through divorce! It's as if there was no forgiveness for this, and people would be condemned forever if divorce had been their fate. Divorced people would no doubt feel ashamed and uncomfortable and of no use, a failure, undeserving, and cast outs from other Christians! Something was very wrong with this picture! If Jesus forgave 100%; murderers, whoremongers, adulteries (divorce falls under this category), liars, drunkards, why were divorced people being criticized from the pulpit? Is there nothing but condemnation for divorced people who have remarried and is now living for Jesus and are very blessed of the Lord? This is a blessing, not a curse! The scripture explains to us in James 3:10 &, 11, Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? We must all strive to be perfect, but as long as we're in the flesh, we will find that flesh will fail us somewhere along the way! Gladine's desire is to see souls saved. Come to Him and know Him as Lord of your life. He's coming soon!
