About the Book

Divine Power Speaks with the BuddhaIn the space where teaching, healing, counseling and coaching all intersect, there have been many explorers, pioneers, practitioners, followers, and even the Enlightened Buddha; and yet, humanity seems to remain in a never-ending state of infirmary. In a place of deeply profound prayerful meditation, in the place where the Voice of Divinity expresses so clearly to him, Dr. McGarrity was told of a number of sacred healing modalities that should be more fully exposed to suffering humanity. Courageously following the guidance of the Voice, Dr. McGarrity devoted the next four years, traveling on sacred expeditions into the realms of dreams, vision quests, near-death experiences, altered states of consciousness, pilgrimages, and past and between-life regressions, discovering, first hand, the healing nature of these modalities. All the while, he was in deeply mystical contact with the Divine Voice. Divine Power Speaks with the Buddha is Dr. McGarrity's carefully woven, spiritual tapestry of what he discovered. In it, he weaves together expert testimony across all the terrains that he traversed, along with mystical experiences and human healings of all kinds. Not only does he share his findings with us, but, he invites us to actually participate in his mystical experiences to the degree that we allow ourselves. He reports that while twenty-five hundred years ago, the Buddha suggested surrendering to the mind in order to end our suffering and find nirvana, the now, current Voice of Divinity most definitely recommends surrendering to our Creator, as the ultimate means of ending our sense of suffering. Dr. McGarrity doesn't expect us to take his word for it. Rather, he invites us to muster up our own explorer energies and travel with him throughout these sacred expeditions, and discover for ourselves ... what love, light, harmony and life's purpose are truly all about.
About the Author: The author taught swim lessons during his high school summers, taught investments to individuals and institutional investors for over twenty-five years, taught math to struggling community college students in need of encouragement and now teaches Love as his ultimate teaching assignment. He was called to share the beauty of unconditional love and relationship with Divinity through his book ... Enlightenment and other Divinely magical moments. He was then asked to dig even deeper through his doctoral research which produced this work of Divine wisdom ... Divine Power Speaks with the Buddha. Bachelor of Science in Finance, Chartered Financial Analyst, Masters of Arts in Education, and Doctorate of Spiritual Ministry, Dr. McGarrity has combined seemingly disparate talents into a multi-flavored life view and ministry. He regularly visits with the elderly, speaks weekly at the local Unity Church, leads a spiritual study group, counsels individuals, and guides people through past lives and souls through the celestial realms. He encourages people to recognize their own Divinity, and as Children of God, live harmoniously and with purpose. Dr. McGarrity and his wife, Cheryl, are blessed with five beautiful children and one gorgeous grandchild, so far. They enjoy movies and spending active time in nature, adopt retired Alaskan sled dogs, and have been seen tooling around on their vespas.
