Es jubeln die Personaler wieder über ein US-trendiges Thema (getreu dem Motto: "Management by the last book read"), an dem die Englischkenntnisse wieder erneuert werden können, dessen Relevanz in Europa, mehr noch in Deutschland bei weitem noch nicht erkannt wurde. Die Frauen- und Gleichstellungsbeauftragten jubeln, meistens jedenfalls, obwohl die wahre Absicht (noch) nicht begriffen wurde. Diversity wird zum Zauberwort, und weil dies so ist, lässt man immer das dazugehörige Wort "Management" gleich ganz weg. Die Gewerkschaften wittern argwöhnisch ein Thema, welches direkt in ihre Belange und damit Geltungsbereiche und Sehnsüchte zielt und den Anschein erweckt, als wäre die Personalvertretung eines Unternehmens nicht mehr nötig, weil die ökonomischen, vor allem aber die demografischen Zwänge dies inzwischen den Unternehmen selbst in die Hand und in den Fokus geben. Die Unternehmen sind die Interessenvertreter der Angestellten? Dies mag teils heiter anmuten, spricht aber der Realität aus der Seele: Denn es herrscht Mangel und Überfluss gleichermaßen: Mangel an Spezialisten und Arbeitskräften, die mehrsprachig, multitaskingfähig wie Frauen, interkulturell wie Daniel Cohn Bendit, dabei beharrlich wie Mahatma (indisch für: der Heilige) Gandhi und "metrosexuell" wie David Beckham sind und gleichzeitig ein Überfluss an solchen, die all dies nicht sind. Schätzungsweise betrifft dies 99 % der Bürger eines jeden Landes. About the Author: Bernd Benser, geb. 1968, Diplom-Betriebswirt, studierte mit Prädikat an der TFH Wildau und promovierte an der Management-Fakultät der COMENIUS Universität und dem EIPOS-Institut der TU Dresden. Benser ist jetzt Geschäftsführer des HITW - Hochschulinstitut für Technik und Wirtschaft und als Gastprofessor an der TFH Wildau tätig, für die Bereiche Personal- und Organisationswirtschaft. Zudem ist er Honorarprofessor am Europäischen College für Ökonomie und Management. Benser ist verheiratet und Vater zweier Kinder.
