About the Book

Der vorliegende Band beruhrt die Frage, wie Sprachgebrauch und Lernen im Physikunterricht zusammenhangen. Dieses Verhaltnis findet als Forschungsbereich innerhalb der Physikdidaktik bisher wenig Berucksichtigung. Ziel des vorgestellten Unterrichsansatzes ist es, Lernenden einen Zugang zur Physik zu ermoglichen und sie dabei diese Wissenschaft positiv erleben zu lassen. Daruber hinaus sollensie gleichermassen ein Verstandnis inhaltlicher wie auch metakonzeptueller Zusammenhange der Physik entwickeln. Fur die Umsetzung dieser Zielstellung wird ein als diskursiv-narrativ bezeichneter Ansatz vorgeschlagen. In einem fiktiven Streitgesprach uber den Magnetismus der Erde "verhandeln" historisch-authentische Protagonisten konkurrierende Erklarungsansatze. Der Erfolg dieser Lernumgebung im Sinne von Lernwirksamkeit und Akzeptanz wird i n einer qualitativ angelegten, explorativen Studie bestimmt. Mit den zentralen H ypothesen fur diese Untersuchung geht der Autor davon aus, dass die diskursiv-narrative Darstellung bei den Lernenden auf Akzeptanz trifft, dass das so gestaltete Material im Physikunterricht lernwirksam eingesetzt werden kann und dass in Verbindung mit dem genetisch-historischen Zugang die Entwicklung angemessener Schulervorstellungen uber den tentativen Charakter naturwissenschaftlicher Erkenntnisse gefordert werden kann. Daneben werden alternative Konzeptionen und Fehlvorstellungen der Lernenden zum Erdmagnetismus untersucht. Die Ergebnisse bilden eine Verknupfung physikdidaktischer Forschungsbereiche uber die Rolle der Sprache beim Physiklernen einerseits und die Bedeutung der Metastruktur der Naturwissenschaften andererseits. Der Weg von der Geschichte zu den Geschichten wird auf diese Weise zum verbindenden Element.
