Jane Hyatt Yolen is an American author and editor of almost 300 books. Newsweek called Jane Yolen "the Hans Christian Andersen of America" and The New York Times labeled her "a modern equivalent of Aesop." She has written around 300 books, 4590 poems, and 3452 short stories. 67 of these won awards. Yolen maintains homes in Hatfield, Massachusetts and in St Andrews, Scotland.
Mark Teague is an award-winning children's book author and illustrator. His books include Funny Farm, a 2009 Parents' Choice Silver Honor Book; Dear Mrs. LaRue, the 2003 Book Sense Illustrated Book of the Year; Detective Larue; Larue for Mayor; Pigsty and Fire and Firehouse (Pin-pon! les pompiers). He is also the illustrator of the New York Times bestselling How Do Dinosaurs series by Jane Yolen. Mark lives in New York State.
