About the Book

THIS IS A NEW EDITION OF THIS ITEM Series of 8 Volumes Vol. 1 Dragonslayer No More? Vol. 2 Dragonslayer and His Sorceress Vol. 3 Abandon the established path? Vol. 4 The Aftermath Vol. 5 All In Good Time Vol. 6 Vale of Stone and Beyond Vol. 7 Forever Together Vol. 8 Bittersweet Ending Characters: Carison Destine-Paladin of the Realm and the main character of our story. Tall, blonde, ruggedly good looking. He is the fourteenth Paladin to hold the office for the Three Kingdoms (because there's only one at a time). As Paladin, he gets paid by the Three Kings to take care of problems across the Realm. Most of the time that means slaying dragons. The world of Dragonslayer is seen almost exclusively through Carison's eyes. He is a moral man, at his core, thrown into some very immoral situations. Raven-Born Raven Hearthstone Celenti, a woman of strength and beauty, with eyes the color of amethyst and hair the color of fire. She is the most powerful sorceress in her time. Orson Malidra-Captain of the Guard in the town of Bastion. Tall and strong, he keeps his head shaved but favors a bushy white mustache. He is skilled in the use of several weapons but has always favored a heavy broadsword. Bastion is the last point of defense between the Three Kingdoms and all points south. Janetha Sapphire-A dark-skinned beauty from Carison's younger days. She is tall for a woman, and her lithe body is the envy of women and the stuff men dream of. Janetha is a dragonslayer in her own right, her weapon of choice is a knife, usually two, held in an expert reverse grip. Deacon Winters-A Special Servitor to the house of King Nolan and high-ranking member of the Royal Guard. If needed, he can be hired by any of the Three Kings of the Realm. He knew Carison Destine, once upon a time. They were friends and rivals and both of them had much the same reputation. Tough, honest men who cared more about other people than themselves. He is sent by the Three Kings to check up on their Paladin when Carison sends messages warning of a coming attack. An attack that will be led by the Butcher Lemore. Theron-Mayor of the city of Bastion and the appointed Governor of the former Fourth Kingdom. He was appointed to this position by the Three Kings after they deposed Lemore. Theron was the natural choice to take the position. After all, Lemore is his uncle. The people of the territory took the change in leadership well. Which probably wasn't hard for them considering that Lemore was a tyrant, a killer, and a monster. Fortmeister Annuis Favalon and Marcus Orellio: These two are the owners and proprietors of the Orellio Forge in the city of Rareborn. The Orellio Forge is renowned across the land as a maker of fine metalwork's. One of their inventions, the hand bomb, is a clever little device in the shape of a sphere that fits in the palm of the hand. It is thrown at a target, and explodes at the end of a three second count. Usually. Dragons-Dragons are common throughout the Realm. Despite the hard work of many different dragonslayers, dragons continue to thrive. General things to know, there are several different species, all named after the color of their scales. Some harbor a burning hatred for all of humanity while some of them just avoid people. Y'sil'ki-A Redscale female dragon. She is a cunning, manipulative creature who has managed to worm her way into Lemore's good graces. She saw the opportunity that the Diamondscale egg presented early on and offered to be the egg's hatch mother. Vi'ono'rei/Bi'anar/E'vira'tor-The Diamondscale. The very last of his kind. He is incapable of being harmed. His hide is impervious to every weapon known to man and every kind of harm. Car'kina'fel-Car'kina'fel is a Greenscale dragon. As such, he is smaller than most of the other dragon species. But his part in this story is a big one. Fel is an acquaintance of Carison Destine's from long ago. In fact, he is one of the few dragons that Carison ever calls frie
