Hierzu wird zunächst eine Literaturanalyse durchgeführt, welche die Bedingungen und Kriterien der Kompetenzentwicklung sowie des Lernens in der Arbeit, mit dem Fokus auf das Lernen in Communities of Practice, herausstellt. Daran anschließend wird das Arbeitsmodell Homeoffice näher betrachtet und analysiert, wie die Veränderungen der Kommunikation sowie Zusammenarbeit unter Arbeitnehmenden aussehen und inwiefern diese zur Kompetenzentwicklung von Mitarbeitenden beitragen können. Die digitale Transformation verändert die Arbeitswelt tiefgreifend, indem sie die Ausbreitung flexibler Arbeitsmodelle mithilfe neuer Technologien fördert. Besonders in der Zeit der Corona-Pandemie hat das Arbeitsmodell Homeoffice an Bedeutung gewonnen und findet in immer mehr Unternehmen Anwendung. Der Einsatz von Homeoffice ist dabei mit bestimmten Strukturveränderungen des Büroalltags verbunden, die sich auf das Arbeiten und Lernen auswirken können. Diese Veränderungen zeigen sich insbesondere in der arbeitsbezogenen Kommunikation und Kollaboration unter Mitarbeiter: innen, die ein wichtiges Kriterium der lern- und kompetenzförderlichen Arbeitsgestaltung darstellen. Diese sind im Homeoffice digital verankert und stellen eine entsprechend andersartige Herausforderung dar, erfolgreich zu kommunizieren, zusammenzuarbeiten, voneinander und miteinander zu lernen sowie die berufliche Handlungskompetenz weiterzuentwickeln.
