About the Author: When Lois Strachan became blind at the age of 21, she did what any self-respecting newly blind music-loving woman would do - she joined a rock band! Since then she has achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in English literature and classical civilisations and an Honours degree in classical civilisations. Lois is the author of "The Adventures of Missy Mouse" illustrated children's books about a blind mouse engaging with the world around her using her other senses, was singer/songwriter in a rock band, and is an inspirational speaker sharing her message on how to overcome life and business challenges.
