C'est avec cette citation, tirée du discours du Pape François, prononcé à Curie romaine le 22 Décembre 2014 que nous amorçons cet ouvrage. Nous devons de prime abord comprendre sans le moindre doute qu'il est quasiment impossible de séparer la joie de l'Evangile, puisque celle-ci est bâtie dans la définition même de ce qu'est l'Evangile.L'Evangile c'est la communication trop belle pour être vrai de ce que le Dieu hilare a accompli de, et pour la création, par son Esprit Saint en son Fils unique engendré. Dans son ouvrage l'ABC de la famille christienne (support du cours), disponible au Centre du Christ, le Dr Mangwang dit ceci: Le mot grec EUAGGELION duquel on a traduit le mot français Evangile signifie une bonne annonce, une bonne nouvelle, ou un bon journal. Avant l'écriture des épitres, spécialement pauliniennes, ce mot était utilisé, selon un commentateur, seulement deux fois dans toute la littérature grecque. Ceci parce qu'il signifie plus qu'une bonne nouvelle, il ressemble un peu à ceci: ''Un message aussi beau pour être vrai'', ''trop beau pour être vrai''. C'était un superlatif si fantastique qu'il n'était presque pas utilisé. Voyez-vous ? Ce mot si sensationnel décrit parfaitement ce qu'a fait Jésus pour et de nous; et c'est ainsi qu'il est devenu commun parmi les christiens du Nouveau Testament.L'EVANGILE c'est l'heureuse annonce trop belle pour être vrai du Dieu hilare (gai), suite à la beauté de la personne de Christ et à la perfection de son oeuvre achevée. Dans cette définition, le constat est que le qualificatif de la nouvelle ou de l'annonce est tributaire de sa cause. Puisque la cause de cette nouvelle c'est le Dieu gai, alors la nouvelle est heureuse et ne transmet que cela à son auditoire. C'est pour cela que la joie est la preuve irréfutable qu'on a reçu l'évangile (Ac.8:8; 13:44-52; 2Cor.9:7; Héb.12:2).L'évangile c'est l'annonce joviale du Dieu Jovial, c'est l'heureuse nouvelle du Dieu Heureux, la radieuse annonce du Dieu Radieux, l'enchanteuse nouvelle du Dieu Enchanté, c'est l'aimable annonce du Dieu Amour, la satisfaisante nouvelle du Dieu Satisfait. Si ce n'est pas ça que vous avez entendu, alors vous n'avez jamais entendu l'évangile.Il est clair selon ce qui est cité plus haut, que plusieurs ont entendu parler de Dieu, mais n'ont malheureusement jamais été en contact avec l'Evangile. L'évidence irréfutable qu'une personne adhère à la communication évangélique c'est la joie qu'elle manifeste dans le fait de se réjouir en Christ: en la beauté de sa merveilleuse personne et la perfection de son oeuvre achevée. Tout ce qui est consubstantiel à la personne du Christ et à son oeuvre génère la joie. Et puisque le Christ habite aisément dans nos coeurs, il est donc évident que chaque christien a en lui ce caractère divinement implanté, qui est la joie.La joie du Seigneur est descriptive, c'est ce que nous avons tous en christ sans exception aucune; tandis que se réjouir est prescriptif, c'est ce que nous faisons, chacun pour sa part. Nous utilisons la joie du seigneur en nous pour nous réjouir, c'est un exercice orchestré comme un acte de foi: nous choisissons de nous réjouir dans le seigneur. L'aspect descriptif qui est la joie du Seigneur et l'aspect prescriptif qui est le fait de se réjouir, tient de ce qui est connu en théologie comme étant l'universalité et particularité de l'Evangile.
