Das Wissenschaftliche Denken als die Fahigkeit naturwissenschaftliche Probleme zu losen ist Teil der naturwissenschaftlichen Grundbildung. Allerdings wird deutschen Lernenden diesbezuglich vielfach Forderbedarf attestiert. Uber die gymnasiale Oberstufe liegen zwar bisher wenige Befunde vor, diese verweisen aber ebenfalls auf Forderbedarf, der hier um so brisanter ist, da die Schuler mit der allgemeinen Hochschulreife auch wissenschaftliche Berufe ergreifen konnen. Zur Forderung des Wissenschaftlichen Denkens wird das Forschende Lernen empfohlen. Hierbei ist jedoch gezielte und intensive Unterstutzung von Seiten der Lehrkraft notwendig, die allerdings ein hohes Mass an situativer Diagnostik und entsprechender Hilfestellungen bedarf. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit wurden zwei verschiedene Formate materialgestutzter Lernunterstutzungen entwickelt und in einer 2x2-faktoriellen Interventionsstudie auf ihre Wirksamkeit untersucht: 1) gestufte Lernhilfen (Forschertipps) und 2) diskursiv-reflexive Szenarien (Concept Cartoons). Die Studienergebnisse zeigen, dass beide Formate zur Forderung des Wissenschaftlichen Denkens im Rahmen des Forschenden Lernens effektiv sind. Fur den Erwerb von Methodenwissen und Fachwissen konnte dieser Effekt tendenziell ebenfalls gezeigt werden. Daruber hinaus zeigt sich, dass die Lernunterstutzungen die kognitive Belastung der Schuler reduzieren konnen. Fur den Biologie-Unterricht liegen so zwei Formate vor, die zur Unterstutzung des Forschenden Lernens eingesetzt werden konnen. Generell weist die Studie jedoch auch darauf hin, dass der Umgang mit den Unterstutzungen einer adaquaten Einfuhrung bedarf.
