Goethe, Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, Thomas Mann, die Gebrüder Grimm oder - etwas aktueller - Günter Grass sind Namen, die die deutsche Sprache geprägt haben, die sich eines Instruments bedient haben, das uns nicht zuletzt auch dank der überragenden Fähigkeiten dieser Menschen im Umgang mit ihm in hoher Präzision dienlich sein kann. Die deutsche Sprache ist schwer zu erlernen, das ist eine Binsenweisheit. Wer sie aber beherrscht, wie die oben angeführten Beispiele, der bereitet nicht nur mir großes Vergnügen. Ein gutes Buch zu lesen kann eine große Wonne sein (wann hat eigentlich zuletzt jemand dieses Wort benutzt?). Ein schlechtes Buch, ein unsauber recherchierter oder lektorierter Zeitungsartikel hingegen landet im besten Falle im Papierkorb und gerät ganz schnell in Vergessenheit. Leider scheint dieses Schicksal aber auch das Präzisionsinstrument Sprache zu treffen. Wir sind dabei, in einer einzigen Generation einige Jahrhunderte Hochdeutsch leichtfertig zu verspielen. Zeitungen werden schlampig geschrieben und gelesen, Schundbücher überschwemmen den Markt (wer braucht eine Biographie von Dieter Bohlen?). Und dank der Segnungen der Technik findet Kommunikation heute zunehmend online statt, verbunden mit der uns zunehmend ereilenden Sprachkatastrophe. Nehmen Sie dieses Büchlein wie es ist: Vielleicht das letzte Aufbäumen gegen die längst nicht mehr zu stoppende Verwurstung des Kulturguts deutsche Sprache.
About the Author: Jens Petersen, Jahrgang 1959, ist bekennender Schleswiger und ein gluhender Verfechter einer einigermassen fehlerfreien Schreibe," wie er bekennt. Nach dem Abitur an der Staatl. Domschule in Schleswig 1978 fuhrte ihn sein Studium nach Kiel, Manchester und Flensburg. Er schlug sich jahrelang uberwiegend als Journalist durchs Leben, arbeitete fur Tageszeitungen, Wochenblatter, Illustrierte, Sportzeitschriften, Computerfachblatter und Radio Schleswig-Holstein (R.SH). Neben der journalistischen Karriere hatte Petersen ein zweites Standbein, seine "Pearson Brother$ Band." Mit ihr tobte einen Festivalsommer lang ein Partyhurrikan sondergleichen uber Norddeutschlands Buhnen. Noch heute sieht sich der Sanger und Texter der Band als den "wohl meist unterschatzten Rocklyriker im deutschsprachigen Raum." Heute verdient Jens Petersen seine Brotchen doch noch als Lehrer: an der Auenwaldschule Boklund. Er ist verheiratet und hat einen Sohn und einen Enkel."
