Die Diskussion urn Form und Inhalt der Lehrerbildung begleitet den Lehrer- beruf seit seinen Anfangen: die Disparitat und die Ungleichheit zwischen "h6herem" und "niederem" Lehramt, Gymnasial- und Volksschullehrer und deren unterschiedlichen Bildungswegen; die Verwissenschaftlichung und Professionalisierung des Lehrberufs, insbesondere die Verortung der Lehrer- bildung als einer akademischen und universitaren; die inhaltliche Ausgestal- tung der Lehrerbildung, insbesondere das Verhaltnis padagogischer, (fach)di- daktischer und fachlicher Anteile zueinander; die Einphasigkeit oder Zwei- phasigkeit der Lehrerbildung; die Konturierung der Lehrerbildung als Vorbe- reitung auf eine autonome, eigenstandige Profession, die sich in ihrem Han- deln weitgehend selbst steuert, oder auf eine hoheitsstaatliche Amtsaustibung unter staatlichen Vorgaben etc. Diese Diskussion ist insgesamt eingebunden in Fragen der sozialen Stellung, Anerkennung und Absicherung des Lehrer- berufes, der sich seine soziale Stellung erst erkampfen musste. Nun haben sich in den letzten lahrzehnten bedeutsame Veranderungen ergeben: Die Verwissenschaftlichung der Lehrerbildung ist ebenso vollzogen wie - von Ausnahmen abgesehen - deren Etablierung an Universitaten. Es hat sowohl eine, Padagogisierung" der Gymnasiallehrerbildung stattgefun- den, als auch eine starkere fachwissenschaftliche Ausrichtung im Grund- und Hauptschullehrerbereich, so dass die Lehramter naher aneinander gertickt sind. Der Lehrberuf ist - mit Ausnahme spezifischer Konstellationen in den neuen Bundeslandern - ein eintraglicher, abgesicherter Beruf geworden. Ge- nau zu diesem Zeitpunkt wird die Qualitat der Lehrerbildung und die Qualitat der gut abgesicherten, gut ausgestatteten und lange, akademische Ausbil- dungswege absolvierenden deutschen Lehrer prinzipiell in Frage gestellt.
