Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2018 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Neuere Deutsche Literatur, Note: 2,0, Universität Zürich (Deutsches Seminar), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Novalis Roman Heinrich von Ofterdingen gehört zu den berühmtesten und wichtigsten Schriftstücken der romantischen Literaturepoche. Neben der Geschichte um den zentralen Protagonisten Heinrich wird im letzten Teil des Romans durch die Figur Klingsohr ein Märchen erzählt, welches einen Spiegel des ganzen Romans darstellt. Obwohl das Märchen keinen klaren Bezug zu anderen Schriftstücken zeigt, kann bei der Lektüre eine Verbindung, oder zumindest eine Anlehnung an Goethes Märchen aus den Unterhaltungen deutscher Ausgewanderten erahnt werden. In der folgenden Arbeit soll die mögliche Verbindung dieser zwei Märchen untersucht werden. Neben Gemeinsamkeiten werden ebenso Unterschiede auf formeller und inhaltlicher Ebene dargestellt und bewertet. Dabei stellt sich notgedrungen die Frage, welche Absicht Novalis mit dieser allfälligen Anlehnung verfolgte. Schliesslich erschien Klingsohrs Märchen, bzw. Heinrich von Ofterdingen fast zehn Jahre nach Goethes Märchen. Nach der Einleitung wird in einem ersten Teil der formale Aspekt der beiden Märchen dargestellt. Dazu soll zu Beginn die Gattung Märchen allgemein beschrieben und aufgezeigt werden, welche Formen zur Zeit der Entstehung der beiden Texte vorherrschend waren. Daraufhin wird geklärt, um welche Art von Märchen es sich bei den beiden Schriftstücken handelt und ob es bereits hier zu entscheidenden Übereinstimmungen kommt. Daran wird eine Analyse der Sprache und der verwendeten Stil- mittel in den Texten anschliessen. Interessant wird dabei die Tatsache sein, dass Klingsohrs Märchen Teil eines Romans ist, während Goethes Märchen nur lose in eine Rahmenhandlung integriert ist.
