About the Author: Contributor Biography - German Lorenz Korn studierte Islamkunde, Kunstgeschichte und Politologie an den Universitaten Tubingen und Oxford. Seit 2003 ist er Professor fur Islamische Kunstgeschichte und Archaologie an der Universitat Bamberg. Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Architektur und Baudekor in den Kernlandern der islamischen Welt (11.-16. Jh.), Metallarbeiten aus dem iranischen Kulturbereich sowie arabische Epigraphik.Eva Orthmann hat Islamwissenschaft, Iranistik und Arabistik an den Universitaten Tubingen und Halle studiert. Seit 2007 ist sie Professorin fur Islamwissenschaft an der Universitat Bonn. Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Wissenschaftsgeschichte, speziell Astrologie, der Islam in Indien sowie Stammesstrukturen in fruhislamischer Zeit.Florian Schwarz hat Islamwissenschaft und Iranistik an der Universitat Tubingen studiert.
