In dieser Forschungsarbeit wird versucht, die didaktische Rolle des Lehrers im Ethikunterricht der Sekundarstufe zu identifizieren und zu beschreiben. Mit einem qualitativen, explorativ-deskriptiven Ansatz wurde eine Stichprobe von zwanzig Oberschülern, vier Lehrern und einem Schulleiter untersucht; unter Anwendung der Techniken Interview, Fragebogen und Beobachtungsraster wurden fünf Methoden analysiert: Gemeinschaftsarbeitsprojekte, Debatten, kollaborative Arbeit, Fallstudien und problembasiertes Lernen (PBL). Die gewonnenen Daten zeigen, dass die Rolle, die der Ethiklehrer derzeit spielt, eine engagierte ist, aber viele der Lehrer, obwohl sie über die erwähnte technische Ausbildung verfügen und die Vorteile ihrer Anwendung kennen, sie nicht anwenden. Es wurde festgestellt, dass diese Methoden zum Interesse der Schüler am Studium der Ethik beitragen und dass sie auf kritische und partizipative Weise unterrichtet werden sollten, um eine Verinnerlichung der Werte bei den Schülern zu erreichen. Ebenso, dass die Studierenden ein größeres Interesse an den Problemen ihrer Gemeinschaft aufrechterhalten, wenn sie Erfahrungen in der Gemeinschaft machen und einen Sinn darin finden, ethisch zu sein.
