Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2012 im Fachbereich Didaktik - Germanistik, Note: 2,7, Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel, Veranstaltung: Kreativität-Konzeptualisierung-Kommunikation: Metaphern im Lexikon. Sprachwissenschaftliche und sprachdidaktische Modellierungen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die beiden amerikanischen Linguisten Georg Lakoff und Mark Johnson kommen in ihren Forschungsergebnissen zu dem Schluss, dass "[u]nser alltägliches Konzeptsystem, nachdem wir sowohl denken als auch handeln, [...] im Kern und grundsätzlich metaphorisch" ist. Dieses Forschungsergebnis zeigt nicht nur die hohe Bedeutung der Metapher im Allgemeinen, sondern auch explizit die Bedeutung für den Sprachgebrauch, da wir unsere strukturierten Gedanken in Schrift und Sprache äußern. Lesen, schreiben und sprechen sind existenzielle Grundlagen des Menschen und werden täglich, wie selbstverständlich, in jeder Lebenssituation angewendet. Wenn die These von G. Lakoff und M. Johnson also stimmt, ist der Metapher und ihrem richtigen Verständnis eine hohe Relevanz in der Kommunikation der Menschen auf allen Ebenen zuzuordnen. Die Metapher bekommt somit neben ihrer "sprachlichen schönen" Funktion in der Poesie und Lyrik also einen noch viel bedeutenderen Stellenwert: Nur durch das richtige Verstehen bzw. durch das passende Anwenden von Metaphern kann es zu einer unmissverständlichen zwischenmenschlichen Kommunikation kommen. Die grundlegenden Kenntnisse über den sprachlichen und schriftlichen Ausdruck und deren Verständnis sollen in der Schule durch die Hilfe von Schulbüchern im Deutschunterricht erworben werden. Im Jahr 2004 ist Buch "Didaktik der Metapher. Perspektiven für den Deutsch Unterricht" von Gerd Katthage erschienen. In diesem untersucht er exemplarisch die Didaktik der Metapher in 3 Deutschbuchreihen für das Gymnasium für die Sekundarstufe 1: "Verstehen und Gestakten" aus dem Oldenbourg-Verlag, "Deutsch in..." aus dem Schönigh-Verlag und das "Deutschbuch" aus dem Cornelsen-Verlag.
