Book 2: The Spiders Show the Way
Jake finally knows where his father is - the End. The place of legend that Jake had always been told was just a childish dream. As Jake discovers more of what lured his father to go to such a place, he discovers a determination in himself to save his parents.
Together with his father's friend Chris and his daughter Ashley, Jake and Arrow must travel into the thick of the jungle towards the temple. It is there that they believe they can get into the End to save his dad.
Yet the jungle has its own dangers and the group quickly finds that the spiders that protect the temple are ruthless. As they struggle to make it together to the temple, will Jake find that his time has run out? Or will he find himself going to the one place he never thought even existed?
Book 3: Lifting the Curse
Jake and Arrow have toppled through the portal to the End alone, leaving Ashley and Chris behind. Lost in the End together, the two must figure out how to find Jake's parents and to escape from the dreadful place.
Yet not everything is what it seems to be in the End. As Jake and Arrow travel across the land, they discover secrets about the creatures that live there and the dark shadow that seems to be underneath the island, looming in the darkness for them.
Jake must use all his bravery to find his parents and discover the way to break the curse that holds his family captive. Will he be able to face down the Ender Dragon and save his family? Or will Jake's family be cursed to live forever in the End?
Jake discovers what it means to be truly brave and to push through the fear of the unknown. But most of all he discovers what it means to have a true friend from an unlikely place.
