About the Author: Barbarella Fokos has been writing ever since she could pick up a crayon. She's been blogging since 2000, and has been writing for the San Diego Reader since 2004. She makes frequent appearances as a guest on radio and television, and has won a regional Emmy Award for a television show she produced and hosted. But more often, she can be found drinking wine, watching videos of raccoons, and trying to convince her friends at the zoo to let her touch all the animals.
