Police detective Lawrence Corliss doesn't have much time for religion, but he values his family members. So when his uncle, Catholic priest Father Sean Brady, is gunned down outside the confessional booth, Corliss plans to bring the killer to justice-or an early grave.
Father Murphy, Corliss's sometime ally and a powerful supernatural force, also wants Brady's killer-but for his own reasons. Murphy owes Brady a debt, and he doesn't like owing anyone much of anything.
When it becomes apparent that Brady's adopted seven-year-old daughter has vanished, the murder investigation takes on an urgent tone. Of course finding the girl may not save her; two powerful groups of otherworldly beings want to bring about their respective Armageddons-and neither faction wants to settle for second place.
Highly offensive and entirely politically incorrect, The Destroyer: Book Two continues controversial author Jason L. Gooding's unnatural melding of graphic violence, unholy imagery-and fart jokes. If you blended Seth MacFarlane, William Peter Blatty, Joss Whedon, and Quentin Tarantino together in a blender, the resulting bloody cocktail would resemble Gooding's work. You'd also get arrested.
