Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2016 im Fachbereich Führung und Personal - Sonstiges, Note: 1,0, Deutsche Akademie für Management Berlin, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Der Inhalt meiner Arbeit "Demografie und Fachkräftemangel" ist schon lange ein Thema in der deutschen Wirtschaft. Schon 2008 konnte man aus der Studie "Pro 50 - Arbeit mit Zukunft" von der PricewaterhouseCoopers AG in Kooperation mit der HTW Berlin entnehmen, dass vielen Unternehmen die Probleme rund um den demografischen Wandel bewusst geworden waren, sie sich - wenigstens teilweise - darauf einstellten und neue spezifische Initiativen entwickelten oder bereits Vorhandenes entsprechend anpassten. Diese Bemühungen wurden durch die Wirtschaftskrise jedoch jäh gestoppt. Logischerweise wurde währenddessen der Blick auf die Notwendigkeit gelenkt, die eigenen (Personal-) Kapazitäten der immer stärker sinkenden Nachfrage anzupassen. Die Aufgaben rund um die Demografie als vorrangige Priorität wurden im Personalbereich durch Kurzarbeit und Flexibilisierung der Arbeitszeiten verdrängt. Viele Aufgaben und Vorhaben zum Demografiemanagement wurden somit in der Priorität zurückgestuft oder gar ganz auf Eis gelegt. Mit dem scheinbar wirtschaftlichen Aufschwung ist die Thematik wieder in die Unternehmen zurückgekehrt. Es macht jedoch den Eindruck, als wären den Unternehmen noch nicht alle Handlungsfelder bekannt, die in Angriff genommen werden müssen, um dem demografischen Wandel zu begegnen und die eigene Wettbewerbsfähigkeit zu erhalten. So stürz(t)en sich die Unternehmen regelrecht auf alle möglichen Rekrutierungskanäle - Zielgruppe sind (waren) hier wieder die Jüngeren. Man beteiligt(e) sich wieder an Hochschulkontaktmessen, steht für Studienabgänger parat etc. Jedoch wird es in Zukunft nicht mehr ausreichend sein, ein jugendzentriertes Personalmanagement zu verfolgen, das von einer Homogenisierungsstrategie zu Lasten älterer Arbeitnehmer geprägt ist.
