He leído, en una incesante sucesión de asombros, Las razones del hombre delgado. Por si esperas que haga y te diga una síntesis, empezaré argumentando que, a mi innecesario juicio, se trata de la conciencia / contemplación de la muerte refractada por la vida. La muerte será la tuya -y la mía, cómo no-, debo suponer. Pero me importa mucho la manera, lúcida hasta deslumbrar, con que lo haces, y de ésta te digo que me parece haber leído una narración. ¿Una narración? Sí. De lo que eres y llevas contigo, que, pudiendo ser sólo narrable y narrado, trasparece con valor de invocaciones y símbolos, y éstos, simultáneamente, son relámpagos reveladores de sustancia poética. Para que esto ocurra, has liberado palabras cargadas con poderes surreales y las engarzas en una sintaxis también liberada hasta de puntuación. Por si fuera poco, has creado los que no son propiamente heterónimos y yo diré "falsos y necesarios poetas infiltrados". Un muy hermoso y arduo tejido.

Salvo, con este nuevo libro, nuestro muy querido poeta.

Libro de cuando el reloj desdice la hora, cuando del árbol ha callado el follaje, del hombre que es uno y es varios y llega a su casa en la noche y empieza a escribir con valor y crudeza los versos de la despedida. De facilidad engañosa, Las razones del hombre delgado cuenta los hechos con un lenguaje sencillo y un complejo punto de vista. Libro del andar del tiempo y del tiempo andado, no sin perplejidad amarga e irónica, podemos concluir con Rafael Soler en la edad de los adioses: "Un nos vemos a la vuelta/ por si hay vuelta". A menos que haya un hilo de luz por el cual volver. Si lo hay.
