About the Book

Marveta, known to her friends as Lotus, grew up a "PK" in the Midwest. She always knew she was blessed to have the parents that she did, the love of big families and the church. When her father suddenly transitioned in April of 2006 everything changed.

From a married mother of three and the Youth Director of her dad's church in Milwaukee; to a single mother and the General Manager of a Club in Dallas/Fort Worth, life was different. She found herself going from owning a 3 story home with 5 bedrooms and a finished attic with 5 additional rooms to sleeping in her car. She went from a happy church girl to an angry struggling mother who looked for the same love she knew from her church home back in Milwaukee.
Trying to make sense of how drastically life changed, and missing the support of the village she grew up with she battled sickness and poverty while trying to keep her children together. Her disappointment in her inability to find the love she once knew in family, community and the church, she left religion and developed an independent relationship with God. Her patio became her sanctuary. It was there she began to learn about Sacred Soul Contracts, and the Ancestral Realm. She learned how different sickness and disease in the body was related to traumatic experiences. When she sat on her patio and traveled in the spirit, she began to see her life as a movie and everyone she encountered as a part of the script. Some were costars, supporting actors and even a few extras. They were all contracted to be in her film. Each experience, each person was just a part of her journey to her purpose.
Open the book and join her as she takes you deep into the roots of the shadows of her soul. It was there she learned to forgiven herself and others. It was there she learned to listen to "The Voice" of God.

Today Marveta, known to her village as Ms. Lotus, is a Spiritual Coach dedicated to assisting others in their process of doing their shadow work. She spends her life walking with others in their quest to understanding their life's purpose. She teaches several classes on topics including: Sacred Soul Contracts, Overcoming Grief, The Ancestral Realm, The Wonders of the Womb, The Conscious, Subconscious and Superconscious, Balancing the Masculine & Feminine Energies, and many others. She also hosts several spiritual retreats per year with her daughter, Niya Johnson
