Aspiring attorney Alex Westcott is ready to begin a new chapter in his life. After settling in quiet Old Town Alexandria with his wife and two children, he's happy to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city to focus on his family and furthering his career.
But all it takes is a visit to an exhibit on the New World Order at Dumbarton Oaks, and Alex's world is turned upside down. There, he is inexplicably drawn to a beautiful young intern-one who could mean the undoing of his marriage, his relationship with his children, and his employment status.
Meanwhile, a series of mysterious events has the young attorney questioning everything (and everyone) he has ever known. Trusted colleagues and friends become suspects in a complex web of conspiracies as Alex works to uncover hidden truths about the people he had believed in most.
This gripping political thriller combines historical and legal accuracy with unpredictable twists and turns, making for a roller coaster ride of suspense in the vein of John Grisham or Richard Patterson.
