I was having trouble swallowing and breathing, let alone thinking of words. He ran his large, warm hand down my back, then inside the slit of my dress and I shivered... "I've been wanting to do that since you came in," he said, grinning into my surprised face... "I'm Jackie," I announced, not that he asked. "I'm Jax," he replied. Before I can think of anything else to say, Jax wrapped his fist into my long blonde hair and tugged. "I like your hair. It's just the right length," he growled. "For what?" I asked, trying to puzzle out his meaning. "Holding on to," he replied, moving his thumb around a curl. Characters from MISSING, A Dempsey Brother's Story continue on in the book.
