About the Book
As a young child, Isabelle takes out a sheet of notebook paper, a pencil and begins to write a letter to God. The child is sobbing and is emotionally traumatized as she listens closely to her parents fighting in the next room. The letter begins with, "Dear God, please send your angels ..." Dear God: Book 1 is the depiction of how young children perceive the world around them. In this book, the world of a young girl is filled with arguing parents, the pre-divorce home, the post-divorce home, emotional abuse, neglect, and physical abuse, yet - the child's perception of God is present, as is her relationship with the angels. In fact, the angels truly take the glory of carrying her through her adolescence. How one person perceives the world may often be completely different than the perception of another - even the perceptions of one's own parents. How can children relate to life as being happy and care-free when their world is filled with such hate, anger, and selfishness? As adults, we tend to hold onto our troubled pasts and it leads us down the wrong road for our futures. When will the cycle be broken? How? Who will help us understand the difference? This cross-spiritual, Christian self-help collection is a series about the connection we can make with others who may have had the same traumatic experiences throughout life. Each book in the series analyzes its own trauma that illustrates there is more to come - more connections to make. Different issues that are faced by every human-being of whom have been through similar traumatic events will inspire each of us to push forward with faith, love, and healing. Each book in the series has several chapters that walk us through common feelings such as helplessness, loss of faith, anger, and sadness or grief. Maybe we are each in the process of being delivered by God - right now - and we do not even know it. Hopefully, this series of books will help us become more aware of His grace, His presence, and His blessings. May each of us be delivered from worldly evil and in strength be delivered by God. The entire series leads the reader through spiritual feelings of hope while transforming trauma to that of God's tests. Readers can literally watch how God delivered Isabelle through the fire, and hopefully make their own connections in the same fashion. My hopes are to give each of you the strength needed to carry on your divine road to your God-given purpose.
