About the Book

The fictional Human Trafficking "Daughters" series may soon end. Why? Because, my friends, it is too hard on me to try to tell the stories of the girls trapped in human trafficking. It requires research, meaning reading many articles and many true stories, watching videos, and then creating fiction, in other words, in a way, reliving what those girls went through. Even worse when I create a story from a girl I actually met, or heard about, and then never saw again...like...well, what the hell happened to her?Gabriella, the trafficked young girl in this story, of course, is fictional, but the young girl who inspired her was real. Most of what Gabriella went through in the first pages the real girl went through in a half hour video. Many, many, months have passed since I saw it, but I cannot forget that gentle-looking young girl. Her face told me she had stepped into that lair-one very gentle step at a time-unknowing of what was waiting for her. I suspect this video really was this girl's first time, for they all have to have a first time. She was never hurt by the woman character I named Moira. Of that I am glad. In the fiction I made Moira nice for the most part, and later not quite as nice, but not exactly mean either. I suspect this young girl did not leave the life, not for a while. I'm also suggesting through her thoughts, her viewpoint, that she comes to like what she's doing. It has to be an absolute fact that some girls come to like that life, stay voluntarily, even enter it voluntarily. At the end of this book is a discussion of the many modeling agencies, some dealing in pornographic modeling; I listed a few. Young girls come to these agencies by the hundreds, and come voluntarily. And some actual bona fide agencies I suspect pick and choose what girls will get a bona fide modeling job and what girls will get guided-or sold- into prostitution.Do some end up like the fictional Gabriella? I suspect some do, and that is how I've based the story .For those of you who have read this series from the beginning, you know that Emma Forbes is the main character throughout. In this story Emma appears late. She and her partner have done well enough financially. Their human trafficking clients mostly don't have money to pay. The lucky ones have daddies who will pay, but most don't have daddies, least not daddies that can afford to pay, and then there's the daddies who are simply not in their daughters' lives. Donations cover the ones who can't pay. Emma's partner, Jacey, is now married; her new husband is well off, plus she has many clients other than human trafficking victims. And Emma's dad, Bailey helps when he can In the past year since Book 5, Emma and Jacey have come across a small acreage with buildings needing some repair. The rancher donated it and provided a few horses for the "rescued-trafficked" girls to ride and learn from, mainly to re-enter the regular world. They also learn self-defense tactics and firearms-handling. At any one time there are up to a dozen young women living there, training and riding the horses, helping the new girls-basically running the place, and growing stronger than they've ever known.****Book 1 The Heartbreak of Human TraffickingBook 2 Emma Gets PaybackBook 3 The Lure of PornographyBook 4 The Little Girl from down the StreetBook 5 Sorority Animal HouseBook 6 She Went Back (Some Do)Book 7 Emma goes to the UK
