Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Geschichte - Weltgeschichte - Frühgeschichte, Antike, Note: 2.0, Technische Universität Carolo-Wilhelmina zu Braunschweig (Historisches Seminar), Veranstaltung: Antike Freundschaftskonzeptionen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Konzept der Freundschaft ist keine Erfindung unserer Zeit. Bereits in der Antike befassten sich die Philosophen und die Autoren der Dramen mit diesem Thema. Besonders bekannt für seine ausführlichen Gedanken ist Aristoteles. Er behandelt die Freundschaft in seiner, Nikomachischen Ethik''. Da es sich hierbei allerdings eher um die Theorie handelt wäre es interessant zu ergründen, inwiefern seine Gedanken sich in der damaligen Lebenswirklichkeit der griechischen Familie wieder spiegelten. An dieser Stelle wird es allerdings problematisch. Die Quellenlage darüber, wie die Menschen damals die Freundschaft betrachtet haben, ist dürftig. Ich habe mich daher dazu entschieden, mich auf einen Bereich zu konzentrieren, in dem das Zusammenleben von Menschen relativ gut dokumentiert ist: die griechische Hausgemeinschaft der Antike. Die Verhältnisse innerhalb der Familie waren oft Gegenstand der antiken Dramen. Für diese Arbeit habe ich, Alkestis'' von Euripides gewählt. In dieser Geschichte geht es zum großen Teil um die Beziehungen innerhalb der Familie. Durch den Vergleich der Freundschaftskonzeptionen in Aristoteles', Nikomachischer Ethik'' und den familiären Beziehungen in Euripides', Alkestis'' sollte es möglich sein, Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten zwischen den Freundschaftskonzeptionen und der Familiendarstellung aufzuzeigen. Da ich mich nicht nur auf diese beiden literarischen Quellen verlassen möchte, habe ich zusätzlich wissenschaftliche Literatur verschiedener Autoren ausgewählt, die sich ebenfalls mit dem Thema, Freundschaft in der Antike'' und den beiden genannten antiken Werken befassen.
