Inhaltsangabe: Einleitung: Die ersten Verdazyle wurden von Kuhn und Trischmann 1963 bei Versuchen zur Alkylierung der schon lange bekannten Formazane erhalten. Wichtigster Vertreter dieser Klasse sehr stabiler Radikale war das zuerst entdeckte 1,3,5-Triphenylverdazyl. In den folgenden Jahren wurden zahlreiche neue Verdazyle synthetisiert, vor allem von Kuhn, Trischmann und Mitarbeitern. Schon bald darauf wurde versucht, ein Molekül mit mehreren Radikalen zu synthetisieren. Dies führte zu mehreren Bis- und Trisradikalen. Außerdem wurde auch noch ein Tetrakisverdazyl hergestellt. Als nächste Stufe wurden oligomere und polymere Verdazyle synthetisiert. Hierzu wurde ein Verdazyl mit einer polymerisierbaren Gruppe verknüpft, z. B. reaktive Doppelbindungen. Des weiteren wurden Diaminoverdazyle mittels Polykondensation und Polyaddition zu Polymeren umgesetzt. Außerdem wurden Bisformazane mit bifunktionellen Halogeniden zu oligomeren Verdazylen umgesetzt. In jüngerer Zeit wurde in einer Kurzmitteilung über die Polymerisation eines in para-Position am Phenylring verdazylsubstituierten Phenylacetylens mittels Edelmetallkomplexen als Polymerisationskatalysator berichtet. Im Rahmen einer früheren Arbeit wurde die Nachvollziehbarkeit dieser Synthese bestätigt. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit sollte das meta-ständige Derivat hergestellt und mittels einer Acetylenkopplung zum Diacetylen umgesetzt werden. Mit diesem Diacetylen sollte anschließend eine topochemische Polymerisation durch UV-Bestrahlung versucht werden. Außerdem sollten weitere neue Verdazyle mit polymerisierbaren Gruppen synthetisiert und einer Polymerisation sowie einer ausführlichen Charakterisierung unterworfen werden. Außerdem sollte die Synthesemöglichkeit für Verdazyle, die mit einem funktionalisierten Pyridinring verknüpft sind, festgestellt werden.
