The document's title, The Dark Nation, does not imply that the subject, Sudan is being in the center of Africa neither that its people are of dark skins. It is rather a description of being immersed in a dark era of political, economic, and social chaos. The destruction of its moral superstructures as well as physical infrastructure shall probably affect its future as have affected Sudan's social, economic, political structures. Perhaps that it can be a puzzling question if we ask an academician of how to destroy a nation. However, it can be an easy matter for a of megalomaniac militaristic mind who would correlate his life with that of his nation. It happened before in history and probably it shall happen again as long totalitarianism exists in human and nations lives. Power-generated apathy can be devastating for the morals, economic mismanagement occurs with the mode of dictatorial regimes and public resistance can genocidal reactions. If power is taken by a coup de etat modus operandi then empowerment of the created regime shall vie to take control the nation's monetary system and wealth. Over-taxing the population becomes a matter of time. With the expected motto of absolute power corrupts, economic management happens with the legalization of corruption. That shall eventually incur massive domestic as well as foreign debts. The institution of various handouts, kill the unions that demand livable wages, banishing medical benefits and pensions, closing down local industries shall complete the job of stripping the nation of it economic livelihood. Furthermore, when workers balk at lower wages by shutting down their productive sectors, plants and shops their ability to survive diminishes. They have only the way of migrating to foreign lands where labor costs are mere pennies. Moreover, the regime starts to import foreign workers for one third of their wages. Hatred is generated; the people live in darkness without clear knowledge of the conditions of their lives except for poverty, pertaining to class, intolerance, racism, and bigotry. There shall be limits to any real choices in voting, keeping the field limited to one party system, where only the wealthy need apply. Next, the regime shall set up a dysfunctional educational system to dictate to the states insane mandates, regulations and policies to dumb down the future generation. By time, that shall generate a dumb population which is easily controlled. Mental illness centers will become a major part of education. The nation shall be saturated with drugs till the land is awash with mind numbing, brain damaging chemicals. Police officers who are supposed to be the law enforcers shall be gradually militarized. Citizens shall fear the police, not welcome their presence. In the medical view, insurance shall be uncontrolled mega corporations that suck monies from gradually impoverished population manipulated by privately owned medical institutes living off destroyed public ones destroyed as was once an affordable medical system. The focus will be on profits with exotic drugs being offered in lieu of preventive medicine. The result is to make retirement impossibility for seniors and those with fixed incomes or pensions. That should encourage them to embrace death with dignity.
