If you go down to the woods today, you could be in for a big surprise!For an evil force was waiting, lurking amongst the trees of ancient past, ready to prey on mortal kind.The lives of Matt and his girlfriend were about to change, and not for the better. Something hiding in the trees was waiting to alter their lives forever. It was no coincidence the woods known to locals as "The Dark Chase" contained an evil they couldn't escape.The locals were superstitious to say the least. They had lived with the legend and heard the tales from their ancestors for a very long time. In fact, many refused to enter the woods for fear they wouldn't return. Matt was about to reveal a dark secret so shocking, his life would never be the same. He was about to discover a truth better left buried, which would haunt him for the rest of his days. This was his journey and his destiny, but definitely not his choice. One thing was sure; Matt preferred to read about folklore, he never wanted to become part of it!
About the Author: I am originally from Staffordshire, although now I reside in North Wales since relocating at the turn of the millennium. I have always been fascinated by the supernatural. Whilst researching the infamous Loch Ness monster, I discovered Teggie another sea creature steeped in mystery and legend and was inspired me to put pen to paper and write my first book Teggie Lucy's Story. Living by Cannock Chase meant I regularly heard tales of the mysterious creatures lurking in the woods. Indeed I often clocked strange sounds and unusual noises whilst walking through the Chase, so what better subject than to write my second book called The Dark Chase. As a keen Independent filmmaker at the start of 2016 I began working on a Teggie screen play with the talented writer and director Troy Dennison. As a keen and up and coming actor it was agreed I would take the character of Ben in the film once production begins Easter 2017. Previously I played the hotel manager in an award winning British film called Checking In during 2014. Over the years, I have tried my hand at many jobs. I have worked at fast food restaurants, hotels, an estate agents, a postman and retail management. I have always been happiest when involved in the creative arts. For fifteen years, I volunteered as a radio presenter for hospital radio, which meant playing requests to those unfortunate enough to be in hospital. I have worked as a supporting artist on many productions including Doctor Who, Coronation Street and Peaky Blinders. I support several local animal charities and regularly send donations to help with the upkeep of abandoned donkeys and horses.
