Los diversos grupos de danza incluyen amplios repertorios con diferentes técnicas de ejecución por lo que un danzante que cambia de grupo le resulta difícil adaptarse hasta que pueda dominarlo. Algunos de los danzantes o bailarines al ver esto se alejan y se olvidan de continuar en la danza. Nadie puede decir que el método que siga un director de grupo de danza es el adecuado, bueno o malo, eso le corresponde al ser juzgado por la crítica después de la presentación. Si, fracasa le dice que estaba equivocado y que otras personas o bailarines tenían la razón, recordemos que una coreografía puede tener éxito en una presentación en cierto lugar y fracasar en otro, lo mismo pasa con los danzantes en escena. Desde que la danza entra como espectáculo a los escenarios, sea del tipo que sea, los ballets y los bailarines deben tener en cuenta que entran dentro del mundo de las artes escénicas; de hecho, la danza es una hija menor del teatro; tema aparte es que sea pobre, olvida o tenida en cuenta pocas veces. Los profesionales de la danza han tenido que aprender del teatro para dar mayor esplendor a sus espectáculos pues las mismas normas del teatro son y deben ser aplicadas a la danza. El teatro es un medio de comunicación, una forma vivida de contar algo. Los géneros dancísticos son: Danzas autóctonas. Danzas populares. A su vez las danzas populares, se subdividen en: Danzas folklóricas o regionales y Danzas populares Urbanas. Si, se considera la técnica elaborada para que los bailarines se adiestren y puedan convertirse en profesionales o especialistas, surgen los siguientes géneros: Danza clásica. Danza moderna. Danza contemporánea. Las danzas autóctonas, son las que se han conservado durante siglos, junto con sus elementos originales: pasos, ritmos. Trazos coreográficos, rutinas de montaje e interpretación, desplazamientos auxiliares, escenografía, tratamiento de pasos, etc.
