Mémoire (de fin d'études) de l'année 2005 dans le domaine Sociologie - Médias, Art, Musique, note: 1,5, Reims Management School, langue: Français, résumé Les premiers pas des médias ont débuté après l'invention de l'impression par Gutenberg. Les techniques de l'écrit sont donc le départ de l'histoire des médias. Dans ses rudiments le livre et la presse écrite, les premiers médias, étaient essentiellement un moyen de diffusion de la bible et d'autres oeuvres importantes ainsi qu'une source d'information. Ces médias n'étaient pas accessible à tout le monde: ...bien peu étaient en mesure de lire un livre. (Fin 15ème siècle). La montée des médias s'est faite ensuite très rapidement depuis le 19ème siècle grâce à des évolutions techniques importantes. Le passé nous a démontré le rôle important des médias comme organe de contrôle de la politique, ainsi que de la justice (grâce aux découvertes révélations). Malheureusement l'information est devenue une marchandise, quelque fois à haut prix, et le journalisme est devenu une lutte pour l'actualité aujourd'hui nous vivons dans une ère de communication, d'information. Les médias sont devenus omniprésents et nous occupent tous les jours. Leur pouvoir d'influence leur a donné un deuxième nom: le quatrième pouvoir. Pendant les deux siècles passés les médias ont rarement été mis en cause, il semble alors que les médias n'étaient pas considérés comme très influent, à cause du fait qu'une accusation doit passer par les médias pour atteindre un maximum de personnes et les médias ne vont pas s'accuser eux-mêmes. Balzac disait déjà de la presse: si elle n'existait pas, il ne faudrait surtout pas l'inventer et dans la Revue parisienne d'août 1840: ..elle attaque tout et personne ne l'attaque.
