About the Author: Adriana "Tata" Rojas was born in Bogota Colombia where she worked as a high level Stockbroker and Trader in the capitol of Colombia. While she was living within this frantic and troubled world of finance and economic power, she became pregnant. With the birth of her daughter, her whole existence transformed in a very deep and profound way. She began to realize that what was once so very important was really more of a nuance and it was the simple things in life that became essential to her being. With the decision to quit her job and learn from her little daughter, gateways began to open to paths she never imagined. Adriana is a female shaman who acquired her knowledge on the Mayan Path, which she began walking over 20 years ago. She has received teachings from the Eagle Clan Elders and Priests, the Tzutujuiles Grandparents, and the Tzozt Clan (inter dimensional messengers). The Grandmothers of the different watersheds on Lake Atitlan in Guatemala have given her the task of of brining their ancient knowledge of Woman to the Western World. Adriana is currently an Aj'ki'j (Mayan Spiritual Guide), traditionalist, expert in the Cholki'j (Sacred Mayan Calendar) as well as various ancient healing techniques. She was also initiated in the Amazonian tradition on an extraordinary journey of over 180 miles on foot through the depths of the jungle. It was on this journey she discovered the strength that dwells within every being and the urgent need for us to reconnect with our Mother Earth. This made her one of the few woman to be given the title of a Green Road Warrior by the Amazonian Grandparents. In keeping with the energies of the new cycle, she has been dedicating her time by sharing this ancestral knowledge from the Grandparents within many different avenues. Giving lectures and workshops at the international level in various institutions and organizations which are supporting the process of the transformation of human consciousness. Highlighting the importance of working within the different energies which coexist within our being and throughout our environment. She is the founder and facilitator of IXBE, where she organizes retreats with woman from around the world to work on the reconnection process and the reclamation of the feminine consciousness. She is the author of the Mayan Dance of Energies which has been translated into several languages. Helping combine this ancient knowledge within the daily reality of the western world.
