About the Book

"Mass transportation can be frustrating, hilarious and amazing, this book shows that. I highly recommend it for a great laugh" -Dan Soder, Comedian

I'm guessing that you, like most people, would not consider your daily commute the best part of your day.

But Alyse Landers sees things quite differently. Her co-commuters have unwittingly provided her with a never-ending treasure trove of funny stories and laugh-out-loud moments.

After making her friends and family laugh for years with her real life daily commuting stories, she decided she would make this past year's 480 hour commute time count for something. Beginning in December 2014, she jotted down every story she overheard to and from her job in NYC. She then extracted the 30 best stories and compiled those gems into this hilarious book.

From debates over grilled vs. fried chicken, to a modern Mona Lisa, to a golfer who hoards his shoe collection to the Peanut Butter & Jelly Tie Guy-you will meet a variety of amazing, interesting, and colorful characters from all walks of life. Alyse's unique observations and magical way of telling these stories makes you feel as if you are sitting on the train right beside her. So get ready to laugh as you devour story after story. Who knew commuting could be so entertaining?
About the Author: Alyse Landers is an avid people watcher, lover of life and a Metro North, Long Island Railroad (LIRR) and subway rider enthusiast. Each train ride holds the potential for a new, hilarious story to share with the world. Alyse is also an entrepreneur who owns a spiritual and yoga inspired jewelry company, New Age Charm. She sells her products online and in the spas of five-star resorts. Her daily commute takes her to her day job where she is an executive at an international mid-sized company in NYC. Alyse graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Business Administration from the University at Albany. When she is not writing, commuting, at her day job, or expanding her jewelry line, you can find her in her favorite place--on the couch--typically with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Usually not at the same time, but it all depends on the day!
