About the Book

Some Daily Texts and Comments in this publication are a text and a paragraph, while others may be several texts and a few pages of comments. In addition, several days may be broken up into a subject matter that is important to all Christians. For example, from August 7th to the 13th we will cover the anxieties of life and how we can cope with excessive worrying. Another example, from August 14th to the 27th we will be covering the need for self-control, which is a paramount quality for every Christian. Another type of series that may run several days is, a commentary of a chapter out of the Bible, Like Psalm 15:1-5, which deals with a description of those who may dwell with God. This publication is 716 pages of daily texts and comments that offer hope, while helping the reader to improve Christian qualities and characteristics of their new personality (Eph. 4:20-24; Col. 3:10) and mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16). It will further help the reader to improve their Christian thinking, to fill their spiritual needs, and to learn how better to walk with God (Micah 6:8). In addition, along the way, throughout the year, the reader will learn the transliteration of a lot of original language Hebrew and Greek terms, Bible background information at times, the historical-cultural setting, and support for the scientific accuracy of the Bible, including items that clear up so-called mistakes, errors and contradictions, demonstrating the trustworthiness of the Scriptures. It is tremendously important that we begin each day with an injection of spiritual food, to then allow that one message to be deeply pondered in our mind as we go about our day, come home, and even as we close out our evening at bedtime. Most who wake in the morning feel that the day will go well when they rise in a good mood, and plenty of energy to get through another day. Others, who are more health conscious, believe that a good breakfast is what will lead to their having a great day. Some respond well to a day that starts with beautiful weather, or respond poorly when they peak through the curtain to see that it is raining. However, the day will be indicative of how we view it, such as our morning thoughts on the day, which can be flavored with a Daily Text and Comment. Jesus responded to Satan while under temptation, "Man will not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God." (Matt. 4:4) What we need to appreciate each day of our life is that those who are truly blessed are those that are literally beggars for the spirit, who are aware of their need for spiritual food.' (Matt. 5:3) This blessed day can get off to a great start, by considering a Daily Text and Comment.
