About the Author: Christina and Joseph are the parents of two young Cuban-Caucasian-African-American daughters who served as the inspiration for the Mango's Bilingual Adventures series. Christina and Joseph are raising their daughters to be bilingual in Spanish and English. Christina speaks Spanish exclusively to them, while Joseph supports their bilingualism by reading to and speaking with them in Spanish on occasion himself. Christina and Joseph incorporate their respective education and psychology backgrounds in developing the content and layout of the books. Joseph contributes the psychology angle, writes the questions, and helps edit the content and layout; Christina writes the rest of the text in both languages, takes the photos, and continues the editing.
