Trama: Nel 1997 il terremoto mette di nuovo in ginocchio l'Appennino umbro-marchigiano. Nunzia finisce sotto le macerie, un ragazzo la salva e poi sparisce. È vecchia, ferita, certa di essere prossima alla morte, sicura che soltanto lui potrà assolverla da ogni colpa.
Clara è una cardiologa, l'anziana cuoca le chiede di rintracciare il suo salvatore, tutto ciò che può dirle di lui è che si chiama Fausto e ha gli occhi azzurri. La dottoressa si aggira per un pomeriggio fra gli scavi alla ricerca di un fantasma, Nunzia resta in ospedale a ricordare stralci del suo passato e a proteggere - con il suo affetto pratico - una ragazza in travaglio dall'incuria dei medici.
Nunzia e Clara condividono un segreto da dieci anni, forse non è l'unico. Nella loro memoria c'è Ida, che non credeva in Dio e ha imparato a leggere rubando i libri di scuola ai fratelli. Il sorriso di Rina, che da bracciante è diventata maestra. Rosa, che non sapeva brillare di luce propria né donare amore. Benedetta, che se n'è andata via troppo presto come Marianna.
Sei amiche legate da un patto di sorellanza, hanno assaggiato il sapore della vendetta, quello della carne proibita e dell'invidia, frainteso l'amore, superato ostacoli più per ostinazione che per coraggio. Si sono salvate tenendosi per mano in questa storia di orchi e guerre, di muri e vite che si sbriciolano di colpo. Nel 2019 pubblica "I silenzi di Roma" - Frilli Editori, primo capitolo della serie noir con protagonista l'ispettore Paolo Proietti, e quindi il sequel "Omicidio alla Garbatella" - prefazione di Andrea Cotti - ottenendo premi e menzioni d'onore con entrambi i romanzi.
Con "Celeste", monologo drammatico, vince una menzione d'onore al Premio Teatro Serra 2022.
Con il racconto breve "L'abitudine" vince il Premio Letterario MarcheTiracconto 2022.
Con il racconto "Annàmo?" vince il Premio Dino Sarti 2022, seconda classificata.
