About the Book

Individual success is what each of us define it to be. Find your own passion. Use the tools outlined in this book and others to accelerate your journey toward the success you have defined for yourself. When you hit a roadblock, or find a new passion, clear the roadblock or adopt the new passion that allows you to meet the goals you have set for your life. We all face challenges. We all fail part of the time. We all make mistakes. It's only when we fail to overcome the difficulties and roadblocks on our way to our individual success that we truly fail. Only you can decide if you are not going to achieve the success you have defined for yourself. This book was written to provide you with guidance, based on a lifetime of experiences, including all manner of mistakes, failures, and challenges that could have aborted my personal pathway to success. I looked at each obstacle as an opportunity to improve and continue on my individual path to success. You can too.
About the Author: The author, who is writing his first book at the age of seventy six, grew up in a rural area of upstate New York. By today's standards he lived in poverty, but his family considered themselves in the middle class, though certainly more out of pride than financial status. Much of his life as a youth was spent on a farm where lifelong lessons of personal responsibility, problem solving, and a strong work ethic were required as a member of the family. An average student, with little financial support required that college included working to afford even the modest tuition and other college expenses of that time. A Co-op school provide that support, and a whole lot of practical knowledge and experience that complemented the college courses and debate team participation that took a shy country boy and provided the self-confidence necessary to pursue a successful career. The career lasted fifty three years, with IBM, Xerox, and then a successful small business he started with his daughter, and managed for nearly 20 years. Those experiences provided many lessons that complemented the experiences of his youth. Raising four children with successful careers, provided him with family life lessons that he has also shared in this book. Still active in community life and with children, grandchildren, extended family and friends, his hope is that the book will provide parents and those looking for successful careers, ideas and guidance that will accelerate their pursuit toward a successful and fun filled life. A life that will enable them to look back on their lives and be as satisfied as he is in the success and joy that he has been able to achieve.
