Es de suponerse que el esquivo ambiente intelectual del convulsionado país salvadoreño, impulso a Blanco a buscar mejores horizontes marchándose hacia México, en donde incursiona en el arte del canto, interpretando canciones de su propia inspiración. Obtiene triunfos en ese campo, pero su latente inquietud por la aventura, lo hace continuar su periplo hasta llegar a esta legendaria ciudad angelina, en donde prosigue proyectándose como cantante y logra la grabación de su primer disco de larga duración, el cual causa grata impresión en el conglomerado latinoamericano, especialmente entre la ciudadanía salvadoreña residente en Los Ángeles.
